What everyone should know about the body
If you suffer from aches and pains, or if you have an old injury that keeps reoccurring or niggling then there help you today.
Sports massage helps flush toxins and waste at the same time as releasing any knots or tightness in the muscles. If the body has a shorten muscle then the odds or the opposing muscle is lengthen. If this is the case your posture is likely to be suffering (for example rounded shoulders). It is important that problems like this are sorted out in the soonest opportunity as when muscles are lengthen for a long period of time the get knots in them known as Trigger points, which cause pain to radiate to other areas of the body. Untreated they can have long terms effects on your body and cause a lot of pain in the meantime.
A common example of this is the rounded shoulders that we see so often in today’s society due to the nature of working from a desk and at a computer. The Pectoral muscles (chest muscles) are shortening for long periods of time on a daily basis. Then around the back of the shoulders we allow our Rhomboid muscles (from the spine to the shoulder blade) to lengthen, which then becomes a challenge to shorten and tighten back up. Now when a muscle is overused, especially in a shortened or lengthened position, you are very likely to develop a Trigger point. If the muscles have Trigger points then it is impossible to condition that muscles are the knot that has formed forces the muscles to contract constantly, and therefore when you exercise they have no part in the exercise as they don't shorten.
It is important that we treat these Trigger points as soon as possible to help our muscles restore normal function. We treat trigger points with massage and compression, forcing blood flow back into the fibres, allowing pain relief and correction of posture.

Great information. Thanks for all the tips. My shoulders are rounded right now. I've got issues with my elbow and achilles tendon that I'm dealing with first. Posture is very important.
